Mr. David Walters holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting and an Associate of Arts (AA) in Management from the University of the Virgin Islands. He also holds a Certificate in Management from the Harvard Business School ManageMentor Program. He is an Anti Money Laundering Certified Associate (AMLCA), a Certified Internal Controls Risk Analyst (CICRA), and a Certified Business Continuity Strategist (CBCS).
Mr. Walters has over 24 years’ experience in the field of accounting and auditing having worked extensively in the field of External Auditing, Financial Accounting, and Internal Audit. He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and has been an employee in the Bank’s Internal Audit Unit for the past twelve (12) years. Prior to joining the Bank, he worked at the audit firm of Pannell Kerr Forster and then at Courts St. Kitts-Nevis Limited as Accountant and then as Acting General Manager.
Mr. Walters is currently the Officer in Charge of the Internal Audit Unit with responsibility for the assessment of the Group's internal control environment.
